This book is fine as a stand alone, but do not deprive yourself of the opportunity to get to know all of the hilarious characters in the small town of Blue Moon Junction. Please visit them in The Alpha Claims A Mate, you will love the book (it is priced right) and it will have you laughing before page three which will also have you laughing at The Bobcat's Tale by page 2...I loved the story, I related to and would want the heroine to be a personal friend. She is imperfect, aware of it and although sensitive due to her background also does her best to stand tall. The hero is total book boyfriend material here, hot and hunky with a heart of gold. This book is packed with action, some mystery, some misunderstandings with a large dose of gossip and more than one HEA.
The thing I like most about this book are the characters in the small town of Blue Moon Junction.
I sincerely hope that author Georgette St. Clair (my favorite author of 2013) will return to Blue Moon Junction often as I believe her creative mind will continue to spin many quality tales in this small town setting. I bet there are characters we've come to know with friends and visitors I am sure are already dancing in the author's head waiting to have their own story in and around Blue Moon Junction.

This is my first time ebook from this author. I do recommend it to all who like paranormal romance. Just enough details given at time of need to make this story a page turner. Good job on giving depth to the main characters. The ending was a little disappointing for me. I could see this turning into a trilogy or series. There was a lot of action which was very nice. It was one of those books you didn't see it coming till it smacked you in the head. I hope this author will expand on this group of characters. A whole mystery could be written about Ginger and her gift, as with Merigold and her's.
I wonder why the author didn't finish The Bobcat's Tale since it was her story or did she just pull an Alfred Hitchcock? I got the feeling that toward the end she got rushed, ie. Kat was parking a car and then driving her truck away; Tate parked the car under the tree because of the heat but coming out to slashed tires and broken window of his truck; I assume that when things like "hooperate" she meant "cooperate", small errors like those can turn some readers off. A few places certain words that the average reader doesn't use were just put in for kicks and giggles and I feel that it helps if they were the correct ones. There were a few spots where I was glad that as the reader I have has a dictionary on my because even with it some of the words they didn't fit so I didn't feel too bad when I was confused by what she was trying to say.
Lainey Robinson shows up in tiny Blue Moon Junction a shifter town during prime wedding time. The Alpha is getting married, the bride's tiara has been stolen and guess who just might be a suspect. Well that just might take a back seat because she has caught the eye of Deputy Tate neighboring alpha and parent to a bunch of cute siblings who just love to get in trouble, hence why he is still single.
Lainey has her secrets, alphas hates secrets but Tate knows she smells greats, feels greats and his siblings haven't killed her.
I am really feeling this author, I read her Big Beautiful Witches did not see any other books then kept checking on her and she had a whole backlist, love when authors do that. This is book two in her Blue Moon Junction series but can be read alone. The town is full of kooks and that makes for great reading especially when they know they are kooks. Lainey is running from a family of uptight bobcat shifters who want to blend into Philadelphia money and ignore their shifter roots they are all about the money honey. She takes a chance by snapping up a vacation to Blue Moon, she does have a big secret which Tate finds out, clutch those pearls (it's not really that bad) she did it for good reason, this is a romance novel you know it is going to end well.
Straight to the Swagger Funny, small town shifter romance with an alpha who has small siblings he is raising bringing the funny and a Bobcat shifter climbing trees to rescue those kids. Oh there is XXX as well, yes XXX.
The Bobcat's Tale is Georgette St. Clair's second book in her Blue Moon Junction series. Each book can be read as a stand alone but the characters from the first book feature heavily in this book so I do recommend reading the first book, The Alpha Claims a Mate.
In The Bobcat's Tale, Lainey Robinson flees her family for a two week vacation in the small town of Blue Moon Junction. Lainey was looking for peace and quiet but the town is swarming with shifters for the upcoming wedding of Loch & Ginger (from The Alpha Claims a Mate). Besides romance, the story features some mystery, some adventure, and lots of great characters. The one major reason I love Georgette St. Clair's stories is they feature a little bit of everything. Highly recommend!
Bobcat shifter Lainey Robinson is hiding out pretending she is her best friend after her parents and supposed fiancee betrayed her. Vacationing in Blue Moon Junction is just what she needs, but when the town's psychic declares she will meet her fated mate at the Alpha's wedding she doesn't know what to think. Throw in a hot alpha male named Tate who has a bunch of precocious siblings and a missing tiara you have a romance in the making but when her past is revealed will he still stand by her side?
This was a lot of fun. I thought Tate's family was a hoot and thoroughly enjoyed the other characters in the story. Lainey had problems understanding the welcoming response of the people in Blue Moon because she had not had that before. Highly entertaining.
